Job Description
The job holder is responsible for assisting the Company to achieve its strategic goals through implementation of efficient and effective systems of acquisition of goods, works and services, as well as disposal of assets.
Responsibilities
- Compiling and submitting procurement plans.
- Processing purchase requisitions (PRs) from user departments.
- Inviting tenders and quotations for goods, works, and services in line with procurement laws.
- Drafting procurement professional opinion (PPO) papers in liaison with user departments.
- Assisting in preparation of memos for tender opening and evaluation committee members.
- Evaluating tenders in accordance with the set evaluation criteria.
- Preparing tender evaluation reports.
- Drafting notification of award letters.
- Raising purchase orders for goods, works, and services for subsequent approval.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supplies Management, Business Administration (Procurement Option), or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
