Quantity Surveyor position at Orient Construction and Interiors, responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract management, and ensuring construction projects remain financially efficient and within budget.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditure throughout the construction process.
Evaluate tenders, quotations, and contractor pricing to ensure value for money.
Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
Measure and value construction works and variations.
Monitor material usage, labour costs, and project resources.
Assist with contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Conduct site visits to verify progress and completed works.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality standards.
Prepare regular cost reports and provide financial updates to project stakeholders.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project.
Manage and negotiate variations, claims, and contractual changes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
Professional Membership i.e IQSK, BORAQS.
Minimum 4 years' experience in quantity surveying.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
