The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance activities comply with OEM requirements, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority regulations, operator standards, and internal quality procedures. The role oversees inspection processes, tooling compliance, technical documentation integrity, and supports continuous safety and quality improvement initiatives within the AMO Department
Responsibilities
Compliance oversight: Enforces adherence to OEMs, KCAA, and operator requirements.
Inspections: Leads all stages of inspection including pre-inspection, hidden damage assessment, in-progress checks, and final inspections.
Training & rosters: Manages certifying engineer training and inspection authorizations.
Tooling & equipment: Verifies calibration status and condition of critical tooling and equipment.
Records: Maintains AMO technical records and ensures documentation integrity.
Regulatory liaison: Coordinates with KCAA and OEMs through the Head of Quality.
Safety & quality: Champions ALS safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) License with airframe/engine or avionics ratings.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance.
Completion of a KCAA-approved Quality Management System (QMS) course.
Proficiency in digital reporting tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
