Laboratory Technologist
Job Description
Plainsview Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Laboratory Technologist to join our medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate laboratory testing and analysis of patient specimens
- Support diagnosis, treatment, and disease monitoring processes
- Ensure adherence to laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Maintain quality control standards in all laboratory operations
- Provide timely and reliable test results for clinical decision-making
- Properly handle, process, and document patient samples
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science
- Registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologists Board with a valid practicing license
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Proficiency in routine laboratory procedures with strong knowledge of quality control and quality assurance systems
- Flexible to work shifts, including nights and weekends
