The jobholder is responsible for providing best fit technical solutions for ICT systems design, development, testing, documentation and implementation. S/he is also responsible for supporting systems’ users and effecting enhancements to the systems to cater for additional or changing needs

Responsibilities

Planning, designing, and implementing ICT infrastructure systems to ensure system availability, optimization, and security.
Providing and maintaining ICT network infrastructure, including microwave links, VSATs, fibre links, cabled and wireless LAN, and data centre systems.
Providing and maintaining security, surveillance, and access control systems.
Designing ICT infrastructure security solutions such as intrusion detection, network access control, and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity.
Administering and providing technical support for plant control systems, including SCADA, DCS systems, and related applications.
Planning and managing system upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
Ensuring periodic maintenance of backend hardware and software systems as per schedule.
Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all ICT assets.
Providing ICT customer service and technical support, including user training.
Preparing and submitting task reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
