This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level may be
deployed at a Sub-District Hospital, Rural Health Training Centre, Department or a unit
within a large Hospital or to a specific Health Programme where he/she will be exposed
to various administrative duties which will include procurement, provision and
maintenance of facilities and general upkeep of the hospital. The officer will work under
supervision of a more senior officer.
Responsibilities
Support the administration and day-to-day operations of healthcare facilities.
Assist in procurement processes and management of hospital resources.
Coordinate the provision and maintenance of hospital facilities and equipment.
Monitor the general upkeep and operational efficiency of healthcare institutions.
Provide administrative support to health programs, departments, and hospital units.
Maintain records and documentation related to hospital administration activities.
Assist in implementing policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and stakeholders to support hospital operations.
Participate in planning, coordination, and monitoring of administrative activities.
Perform assigned duties under the guidance and supervision of senior officers.
Requirements
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum mean grade of C- or its equivalent qualification, including at least a C in English or Kiswahili and Mathematics.
Diploma in Health Management, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
