Job Description
This cadre is responsible for analyzing data on economic indicators, research on distribution, accessibility, and provision of goods and services, in order to identify potential trends and make economic forecasts; that facilitate Strategy formulation, Capital & Energy planning and power purchase
Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving project analysis and tariff-setting models to support sensitivity and scenario analysis for all power plants.
- Testing and analyzing the impact of tariffs on the company financial model to ensure revenue requirements are adequately covered over the forecast period.
- Conducting economic and financial analysis of current and future Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to ensure proposed tariffs support the company’s business requirements.
- Providing input for feasibility studies of new projects to ensure strong internal rate of return (IRR) and advising on project viability and applicable tariffs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must be prepared to serve anywhere in any of the business areas in Kenya.
