The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing construction projects to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality delivery. The role ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards while managing project teams and stakeholders. The position drives successful execution of multiple projects from initiation to completion.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop detailed project plans with timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to produce realistic construction schedules.
Budget & Cost Management
Prepare and manage project budgets to ensure efficient cost control.
Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Team Leadership
Lead and supervise on-site teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Provide direction to site supervisors, contractors, and workers.
Risk & Safety Management
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Enforce safety standards; conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
Quality Assurance
Maintain quality standards across all phases of construction.
Review blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
Facilitate communication between project stakeholders: clients, architects, engineers, contractors.
Permits & Regulations
Ensure all required permits, certifications, and inspections are obtained and updated.
Comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and construction regulations.
Problem Solving
Address challenges such as delays, design changes, and site conditions promptly to minimize disruption.
Project Closeout
Oversee completion of punch lists and final inspections.
Prepare final project reports, including lessons learned and improvement areas.
Requirements
Technical Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field.
Proficiency in project management software (MS Project or ERP).
Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling tools, and industry standards.
Knowledge of building codes, construction regulations, and compliance requirements.

Experience
