PrideInn is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join its maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, constructing, and maintaining furniture, fixtures, and wooden structures across the hotel while ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Perform all general carpentry maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of hotel furniture and woodwork.
Serve as a member of the hotel's fire-fighting team and support emergency response efforts.
Assist other maintenance artisans with repairs and maintenance tasks when required.
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and occupational health practices.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of tools and equipment to prevent loss or damage.
Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and plumbing systems.
Maintain professional appearance, integrity, and conduct in line with company policies.
Foster positive working relationships with staff and departments across the hotel.
Comply with staff handbook guidelines, house rules, and safety procedures.
Carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Be available for overtime work when required by the engineering department.
Complete assigned tasks efficiently and according to company standards.
Stay informed about hotel events, functions, and conferences.
Provide support to other departments whenever necessary.
Keep the workshop and work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Maintain punctuality, proper grooming, and a professional appearance while on duty.
Be familiar with emergency procedures and respond appropriately during emergencies.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments.
Participate actively in training and development programs.
Assist external contractors and ensure work areas are left clean and presentable after tasks are completed.
